North American Family Institute's New York Region (NAFI-NY) was established in 2005, when we began providing New York State with effective community-based wraparound services as successful alternatives and supportive transitions from residential placement. In line with our larger agency history, NAFI-NY has continued to be an industry leader in shifting the focus from institutionalization to residential treatment to community-based programming. NAFI-NY emphasizes unique, strength-based, person-centered treatment that seeks to engage natural supports and promote positive community engagement. Our successful implementation of wraparound programming very quickly resulted in expanded contracts and multiple community-base service offerings throughout the state. These services include: foster care, preventive service, evidence-based preventive and re-entry service, aftercare, consultation, and individualized support services.
