aphl — HL7 International OID Registry
The Association of Public Health Laboratories works to strengthen laboratory systems serving the public's health in the United States and globally. As part of that work, we support electronic data exchange and are often in need to identify new organizations/facilities and systems participating in the exchange (needing OIDs, when they don't already have any assigned), creating implementation profiles of HL7 products that need to be identified in conformance testing tooling like IGAMT (profile OIDs). We often develop program specific valuesets, that need OIDs. and we are also developing the specimen crossmapping table and may use OIDs to identify specific code combination objects in the CMT. We are also maintaining 2 code systems (PLT (2.16.840.1.114222.4.5.288) and PLR (2.16.840.1.114222.4.5.289) = these already have OIDs from HL7) for hopefully only interim use in lab related data exchanges.
