MedicaBase® is a terminology ensuring the interoperability of virtual drugs used in professional software for prescription and dispensing in Common Denomination. It enables the transmission of unique identifiers of the Common Denomination from a hospital prescription software to the dispensation software. The HAS approved drug databases (Claude Bernard® Bank, Thériaque®, Thesorimed®, and VIDAL®) ensure the distribution and maintenance of MedicaBase®.
