The number of times that a beaconing error can occur on
a lobe before that lobe is permanently removed (disabled)
by the CAU. Such a beaconing error can be caused by a
failed insertion of a MAC into the ring (e.g. a wrong speed
adapter). The CAU maintains a 'failure count' representing
the number of times a lobe has been removed because of a
beaconing error. The count is reset to zero when a MAC
is successfully inserted into the topology table for that
lobe. When the failure count reaches the value of this
variable, the lobe is removed and will only be re-enabled
at the request of the management process. When the lobe
is re-enabled, the failure count is reset to 0. The minimum
value for this variable is 1 and the maximum value is 99.
