therefore this variable will assume a value of 0 for that
type of module.
Note that an RLIU has no lobes, but the Remote LAM that may

it. This implies that an RLIU module will only have lobes
associated with it while it is able to communicate with an
attached RLAM. If the control link goes down, this variable
will assume a value of zero.
