    Description by mibdepot

Use this field to select the method of calculating
the value to be collected for each data sample.

When you set this to 'absoluteValue', the actual
value of the history variable you specified is
    collected as the data sample.

When you set this to 'changeInValue', the change in
the value of the variable between the start and end
of the interval is saved as the data sample for that
    period.

The value of this field is ignored when you select
standardHistory from the quick list. A standard RMON
etherHistory sample all values as changeInValue except
    for etherHistoryUtilization, which is absoluteValue.

You may not modify this field once the history control
entry is completed (see history status field).
