Set this field to the index value of the history
control entry whose collected data samples you wish
to view. The samples table or etherSamples table
(as appropriate) will be filled with the currently
collected data samples for that entry.
If the history variable specified in the history
control entry selected by this field is the RMON
standard etherHistory (standardEtherHistory), then
the samples table will be empty and the etherSamples
table will contain the specified data items.
Specifying a value of zero, or a value which does
not correspond to a valid history control entry
will yield empty samples tables.
