A bitwise AND operation is performed between CpeMmIdMsduMask and the CpeMmIdMsduMaskLength (9.1.6.6) first octets of the mac_service_data_unit parameter passed by the ISS indication primitive to the Mask-and-match Stream identification function. The resulting CpeMmIdMsduMaskLength octets of information are the masked mac_service_data_unit that is used as input for the instance of the Mask-and-match Stream identification function. If CpeMmIdMsduMask has a value of 0, the mac_service_data_unit parameter is ignored.
