When the value of this MIB object is changed, the path cost of all ports will be reassigned to the default path cost values based on the new spanning tree path cost mode and the ports' speed. When the value of this MIB object is set to long(2), the staPortLongPathCost MIB object must be used to retrieve/configure the spanning tree port path cost as a 32-bit value. The set operation on dot1dStpPortPathCost in BRIDGE-MIB will be rejected.
