The generic hub trap is sent when one of several changes occurs in the status of the agent. There are three conditions which may cause this: the addition or deletion of a group (usually a module) from the agent (or chassis), in which case the plxGroupType variable is returned, and changes in the autopartition or link states of a given port, in which case the plxPortAutoPartState or plxPortLinkState variables are returned, respectively.
