    learned on this port will be added to the non-volatile version
    of the static address table.

    Typically, this object will be used to perform a crude form of
    address database update where the address activity associated
    with this port is collected as static (i.e. permanent) addresses
    while the value of this object is set to convertToStatic(2).
    Following this usually short period of time (perhaps a week of
    activity), the value of this object is restored back to its
    default value of learnAsDynamic(1) and learning for this port is
    disabled.

    It is important that the user verify the address database to
    verify that only the desired addresses were made permanent.
