Description:
If a COPS server inside this SAE server receives incoming
COPS messages (e.g. notifications of new users) faster than
it can handle them, its queue of received but not-yet-handled
COPS messages will grow and age.
If the oldest job in the queue exceeded a threshold, an
overload condition is deemed to exist.
The COPS server will determine whether the ERX or the SAE is
to blame for the overload condition, and then execute the
corresponding overload action (See
'JuniSdxSaeOverloadAction').
ERX overload condition
The overload condition is an ERX overload condition if the
average time that SAE spends handling incoming COPS messages
is less than the avg time the ERX spends handling policy
decisions triggered by those incoming COPS messages.
In this case, the COPS server will execute the overload
action configured via juniSdxSaeErxOverloadActionDef,
juniSdxSaeCopsUseOverloadActions and
juniSdxSaeCopsErxOverloadAction.
SAE overload condition
The overload condition is an SAE overload condition if the
avg time that SAE spends handling incoming COPS messages is
greater than the avg time the ERX spends handling policy
decisions triggered by those incoming COPS messages.
In this case, the COPS server will execute the overload
action configured via juniSdxSaeSaeOverloadActionDef,
juniSdxSaeCopsUseOverloadActions, and
juniSdxSaeCopsSaeOverloadAction.
