The X.28 profile index specifies the number of one of the pre-defined sets of X.3 parameter values that control the line between the PAD and the asynchronous device.
A terminal user can use the X.28 PROF command to temporarily override the profile set for the port and can use X.28 SET or SET? commands to temporarily change individual X.3 parameter values.
The default value is 89.
