If LK2 is installed in the MMX-4230 then the Output
Packet is always contains ReedSolomon Code. If LK2
is not installed then the packet size is the same as
the input packet size.
If LK2 is installed in the MMM-4230 then if the input
signal contains ReedSolomon Code it is passed unchanged.
If LK2 is not installed then ReedSolomon Code is always
added internally.
