"The subnet mask for the serial channel.
adminSerialSubnetMask may be written at any time;
however, the change does not take effect until the
LANtern network monitor is restarted. When this
variable is read, it returns the subnet mask
currently in use, regardless of any previous
writes. When the value 0.0.0.0 is stored in this
variable, the LANtern assumes no subnetting.
adminSerialSubnetMask is stored in nonvolatile
RAM."
